TMGD have been retained by the Gibbston Valley Station development team to design and build an 18 hole golf course on their spectacular Gibbston site.

Designed with a strong appreciation of the local environment, the Gibbston Valley Station golf course will provide a rewarding and memorable playing experience, introducing the golfer to the area’s rich natural setting.

The course will be defined by some of the world’s most spectacular holes and playing environments, offering incredible views and dynamic challenges. The Kawarau River will form one of the obstacles, allowing golfers to play across the river in a ‘one of a kind’ championship hole.

The course design will reflect the distinctly Central Otago terrain, dominated by native grasses and stone outcropping, and shaped by the natural course of the river. The low-impact design will be both ecologically and environmentally responsible – with low irrigation and maintenance requirements.

Earthworks will also be kept to a minimum, with existing topography, rock outcrops and vegetation giving form to the course.

Gibbston Valley Station golf course will offer a range of challenges and playing options to appeal to players of all levels and ages.

Golf Course and associated development is currently undergoing Resource Consent processes.
